Job Summary Perform sheet metal job assignments according to MTech Mechanical safety standards and guidelines, and within budgetary constraints.

Essential Job Functions Meet all requirements of a 4 year apprentice Use of all tools, equipment and skills necessary for the complete installation of projects common to the HVAC/piping industry. Have the minimal tools as required by the company in his/her possession. Direct the activities of field crew member(s) in accordance with job schedules and priorities as coordinated with project manager/customer/general contractor and field foreman as applicable. Submit daily job progress reports to supervisors as required. Responsible for ordering stock or fabricated materials as far in advance as possible to complete assigned tasks either personally or through site foreman. Responsible for physical jobsite organization and housekeeping to ensure a safe professional work area. Responsible for safe operation and maintenance of company equipment as well as monitoring the use and timely return of rented equipment. Responsible for the accurate accounting of labor hours to the accounting department, material sheets and change orders, etc. Responsible for instruction and on the job training of apprentices which includes emphasis on safety. Responsible for obtaining and maintaining necessary licensing/certification for performing work in areas where such is required. Responsible for maintaining knowledge of local/national codes and industry standards. Ensure that all necessary inspections are made through all phases of work. Support the total quality effort. Identify and respond to the needs of internal and external customers 100% of the time. Work within the guidelines of the safety and employee policy. Qualifications 4 year apprenticeship certificate or 4 years of field experience Thorough knowledge of all aspects of sheet metal fabrication Working knowledge of all relevant national and local codes and company and industry standards. Must possess and maintain licenses that are required in the jurisdictions that you are working. Reliable transportation to and from work required
