About the role:

WEG Electric Corp. has a great opportunity for a Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Duluth, GA. This position supervises the activities related to warehousing and warehouse personnel by performing the required duties.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Sorts and places items on racks, shelves, or in bins, according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code.

  • Fills requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items.

  • Assembles customer orders from stock and places orders on pallets or shelves, or conveys orders to packing station or shipping.

  • Marks materials with identifying information.

  • Opens bales, crates, and other containers.

  • Records amounts of materials or items received or distributed.

  • Uses computer to enter records, with basic knowledge of the software systems.

  • Operates forklift to transport stored items from shelves to package area for shipment.

  • Maintains inventory records.

  • Performs cycle counting on a regular basis.

  • Actively mentors and facilitates professional development among the team members.

  • Generates data and provides analysis revolving around improved efficiencies, cost savings, and increased sales.

  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization-s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance. Responsible for addressing employee complaints and resolving problems.

  • Other duties and tasks as assigned.

Education:

  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is preferred.

Knowledge / Training / Skills:

  • Proficiency driving a sit-down and stand-up forklift.

  • Order picking, shipping, receiving product, understanding how to piece orders together, and outbound product loading/unloading.

  • Product on racking, bulk storage and cycle counting.

  • Warehouse safety.

  • Business operating software.

  • MS Office.

  • Forklift.

  • Pallet Jack.

  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of related experience.
