Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • Candidates will typically have 12 years of experience in business development or partnerships in technology or media industries.

  • Typically 7 years of experience leading strategy and cross-functional initiatives.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Typically 7 years of experience in people management.

  • Experience with leadership, developing a strategic vision and successful execution, aligning regional and global perspectives, and growing and developing teams.

  • Experience working with political, economic, and media influencers and creators across MENA.

  • Experience working in the MENA market with an understanding of regional nuances.

  • Ability to analyze, structure and execute complex agreements, and to understand the broader business environment for YouTube and provide insightful, data-driven strategic recommendations to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.

  • Ability to communicate in Arabic fluently to support partner relationship management in this region.

As Head of Partnerships you will be the internal and external advocate of YouTube in MENA, driving YouTube’s agenda within Google and externally with creators, partners, users and the political, economic and media influencers in the region. You will set the strategy for the region, work cross-functionally across Google and YouTube to deliver on that strategy, and directly manage teams of Strategic Partner Managers. You will ensure the profitable and responsible growth of this critical region is in line with YouTube’s overall strategy and mission.

  • Define strategies and priorities while aligning with the global vertical strategies across creators, artists, gamers, music, and media partners. Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., sales, marketing, PR/Comms, and policy) to set resourcing and specific plans to deliver on country strategies and objectives.

  • Partner with local teams to proactively manage challenges and represent YouTube MENA interests within the wider organization. Command and report achievements across all OKRs.

  • Advocate for the MENA region, influence product strategy, and represent YouTube across content, policy, partnerships, and PR.

  • Nurture a high-performing team, embodying exceptional leadership to cultivate the next generation of Google leaders.

  • Exceed in complex environments, crafting forward-looking strategies and structures that enable teams to navigate uncertainty while fostering an inclusive culture which invites, integrates, and celebrates diverse perspectives.
