Materials Specialist-(Ordnance Services)

Administers production control, inventory control, shipping and receiving of ordnance type materials/ assets. Checks materials for damage and verifies DODIC, Lot number, quantity, national stock number, and serial number of shipped ordnance items. Records and prepares status reports of requested and received items. Under general supervision, and occasional direct supervision, performs assignments requiring experience and knowledge of standard concepts within their field. Displays core job competencies by analyzing possible solutions using standard Operating procedures while developing advanced skills. Skills required for this job are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree and 5+ years of experience, or equivalent work experience in lieu of degree.

Must have or be able to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance.

Additional requirements:

  • 3-5 years of experience in various Ordnance or Ammunition roles performed while assigned to Navy / Marine/Army or Air Force, munitions /ordnance organizations.

  • Demonstrate skills and ability to prioritize work.

  • Previous assignments and recent work history supporting Navy BOS / Facility Support operations or contracts in austere or remote environments is desired.

  • Excellent customer relations, communication, and inter-personal skills.

  • Must have or be able to obtain/maintain a secret clearance

Additional requirements:

  • Must be fluent in English

  • Must possess passport book (not passport card) with at least 12 months of remaining validity AND with at least 4 blank visa/stamp pages remaining

  • Must possess driver’s license with at least 6 months of remaining validity
