Unilever SSHE Specialist in District 2, Romania

Main Job Purpose

The SSHE Specialist SCE has overall responsibility for coordinating Go to Market (GtM) and Offices Safety, Security, Health, & Environment improvement activities to achieve excellence at all sites in the geography.

Responsibilities:

  • Supports a SSHE Implementation Plan to deliver against the European and Global SSHE Strategies

  • Maintains the documented standards, policies, and practices to ensure SSHE compliance with regulatory and Unilever expectations.

  • Supports sites legal compliance an ensure they meet all local/national regulatory requirements and Unilever standards.

  • Conducts audits and supports teams when they are externally audited. Audit scheme includes General Safety Audits, Hazard Related Audits (Ammonia), Corporate Audits and others.

  • Ensures global governance tools like PAR, SPR, Safety Pillar, SHENet, MOC, Power BI and others represent the geography accurately. Maintains local governance tools, as necessary.

  • Maintains local expertise in specific SSHE technologies like mechanized material handling equipment safety (MMHE), safe driving, office safety, safe travel, ergonomics, emergency planning and response, security, environmental compliance requirements and others.

  • Assists the local Leadership Team in leading and developing the internal Incident Management committees and Central SHE committee.

    Job Requirements:

  • 2-5 years in a SSHE role

  • University degree in Science or Engineering.

  • Experience in Supply Chain operations.

  • Proven track record of analytical thinking and project management

  • Good knowledge of SSHE standards. Working knowledge using SSHE IT tools and how those tools integrate into other functional work processes.

  • Good observation and auditing skills

  • Travel required within geography 25-50% of the time
