EW Grobbel Senior Maintenance Mechanic, 2nd Shift in Detroit, Michigan

Senior Maintenance Mechanic, 2nd Shift

Monday - Friday, Saturday as scheduled; 4:00 PM-2:00 AM 

($30.00 - $45.00 per hour, with a $2,000 starting bonus)

The Senior Maintenance Mechanic position here at EW Grobbel requires an individual who possesses the ability to repair and maintain production equipment, aid in the launch of new production lines, execute continuous improvement projects, and perform established PM’s. The qualified candidate must be highly organized, detailed-oriented, solid in multi-tasking, capable of prioritizing, and able to positively and effectively communicate with their team. 

Skills and Qualifications:

Technical and mechanical skills to troubleshoot, diagnose and to repair industrial equipment, such as pumps, valves, conveyors, sprockets, gear boxes, and control panels. 

  • Previous experience in industrial machine repair 

  • Vast general mechanical knowledge

  • Ability to read mechanical prints, electrical schematics, and hydraulic schematics

  • Ability to perform various preventative and predictive maintenance tasks

  • Ability to complete paperwork and keep work area and tools organized

  • Experience with packaging machines, conveyors, pumps, motors, hydraulics, pneumatics desired

  • Previous Food Industry experience a plus

  • Welding and finishing experience a plus
