MercyOne Des Moines is seeking a BC/BE Psychiatrist to join our Psychiatry Residency Faculty. We offer a competitive compensation package including a $50,000 sign-on bonus, paid malpractice and a 403B match. J1 and H1B candidates encouraged to apply.

Opportunity Details:

  • Clinical supervision and mentorship of Residents in ambulatory setting

  • Provide outpatient care in Residency continuity clinic

  • Didactic and Clinical teaching responsibilities

  • Supervise Medical Student rotations

  • Opportunity to participate in research and other scholarly activity

  • Consult services at Primary Care Integrated Clinic

The MercyOne Psychiatry Residency Program , created in 2019, is a four year, ACGME accredited program with 4 residents per year. Residents rotate through a variety of services including inpatient/outpatient psychiatry, neurology, internal medicine, geropsychiatry, emergency psychiatry, C/A, chemical dependency, consultation, and community psychiatry. The MercyOne Psychiatry Residency program was commended for its demonstration of substantial compliance with ACGME’s Institutional Requirements. Additionally, and in partnership with Universal Health Services Residents are provided with inpatient rotations at the state-of-the-art Clive Behavioral Health facility (partnership with Universal Health Services).
