Felsburg Holt & Ullevig Traffic Operations Engineer, Entry Level - T0007 in Denver, Colorado

Are you a dynamic, motivated individual with a passion for traffic engineering? Felsburg Holt & Ullevig is looking for a proactive traffic engineer with 0-3 years of experience to join our collaborative team. In this role, you will contribute to a variety of transportation operations and safety projects, including but not limited to traffic impact studies, corridor studies, traffic design, data analytics, safety assessments, feasibility studies, and alternatives assessments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate on traffic engineering projects of varying scales under the guidance of a Project Manager.

  • Support data collection, technical analyses, and report preparation under supervision.

  • Assist in crafting project proposals, ranging from small letter proposals to larger project submissions.

  • Engage in project coordination and participate in presentations alongside Project Managers.

  • Utilize engineering design software and equipment to develop engineering documents and designs.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil/transportation engineering or transportation planning from an accredited institution.

  • A Master’s Degree with a focus on Transportation Engineering is preferred; relevant experience is advantageous.

  • Familiarity with traffic engineering methodologies, reference materials, and software tools (e.g., Highway Capacity Manual, Synchro, VISUM/VISSIM, MUTCD) is beneficial.

  • Knowledge of programming languages, as well as proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation, is a plus.

Certificates and Licenses:

  • Engineering Intern Certificate

The pay for this position has a range of $70,000 - $85,000 annually. The actual offer will carefully consider a range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, and experience.
