Driveline NVH Engineer

The engineer will lead a cross functional team to deliver the driveline NVH attribute for the program. They will leverage both analytical CAE and hands on hardware testing to complete program assessments and make recommendations to deliver best cost at Job#1 solutions.

What you'll do...

  • Deliver best cost at Job#1 solutions to the program while meeting attribute requirements

  • Lead Driveline NVH Huddle

  • Support driveline design release activities with NVH design direction and testing (analytical and hardware); including interfaces

  • Perform NVH assessments and trade-off studies using CAE and/or hardware testing as appropriate

  • Support target setting and cascading to sub-system and component levels

  • Coordinate and perform system level NVH testing

  • Perform vehicle testing for driveline NVH related issues

  • Provide find-and-fix support for issues

  • Follow internal Driveline NVH global best practices to deliver programs

  • Provide design support for advanced concepts

You'll have...

  • Demonstrated success performing testing, development, and analysis in powertrain NVH, rotating machinery, or acoustics, including instrumentation, data acquisition, and data processing (e.g. Siemens Test.Lab) is required.

  • Preferred experience using FEA tools (e.g. NASTRAN) to determine system modes (frequency and shape).

  • Preferred experience using multibody dynamics tools (e.g. ADAMS) to determine dynamic reaction forces and vibrations

This position is a range of salary grades SG7 - SG8 .
