We are actively seeking an experiecnced Configuration/Data Manager who will be primarily responsible for supporting Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Rapid Sustainment Office Wright-Patterson AFB, OH. RSO's mission is to advance the SECAF's direction and "...leverage mature, new, and emerging technology to reduce sustainment costs and improve readiness..." The RSO will play a role in sustainment analogous to a research laboratory in development. Its customer base-the logistics and sustainment enterprise-should come to view RSO as their center of excellence for identifying, maturing, and transitioning technologies with traceable and measurable readiness impacts, cost reductions, and ease of use. Responsibilities Review and evaluate OEM proposals and reports for configuration status accounting of assigned systems/subsystem(s) and compliance with Government technical data requirements. Plan/implement Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs) and Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs) and confirm the adequacy of data used to support these audits. Participate in Government review/meetings/working groups as applicable and in Government and industry teams for the resolution of complex configuration management issues. Prepare and submit product data or perform other configuration management activities as required, to include support for CCB Charter development and the administration of CCB activities. Review OEM-delivered programmatic data (e.g., engineering drawings, performance specifications, hardware and software configuration documentation, interface control documents, and commercial item descriptions/specifications) to ensure that deliverables meet technical and programmatic requirements. Perform configuration management/data management functions to include: Configuration Identification (Computer Program Identification Numbering (CPIN), Configuration Items (Cis), Common Systems Configuration Engineering (CSCE), Generation Receiving Integrated Tracked System (GRITS), Configuration Control (CCPs, Request for Deviation (RFDs)); Configuration Audits and Program Reviews (System Verification Reviews (SVRs)); Configuration Status Accounting, and; Data management (DIDs, CDRLs, Engineering Data Management (EDM), DR, Deviations/Waivers, Material Improvement Program (MIP) Review Board). Qualifications Secret clearance required Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a related field and at least three years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, three of which must be in the DoD OR, seven years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, five of which must be in the DoD Working Conditions and Physical Requirements: May be required to lift 50 lbs.
