Description:

This position is part of a 3-person Care Team where you will have the opportunity to work alongside a Virtual RN and bedside RN, giving you more time and help to focus on meeting the needs of each patient. This position is full time, 6a - 6:30p, 48 hours per pay, including every other weekend.

Come join our team, as a Virtual Registered Nurse (RN) that will serve as a support to our bedside care teams across our network of hospitals in the Mid-Atlantic region, in an On-Site Virtual setting, located on our Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital campus in Darby, PA!

Utilizing technology, you will support patients and bedside/floor nurses via in-room TV monitors allowing patients to have access to their care team at any time of the day.

As a Virtual Registered Nurse (RN) on the care team you will be a part of/responsible for:

  • Collaborating, communication & facilitation of optimal provision of care through a computerized &/or digital platform supporting daily management of care.

  • Responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, coordination, monitoring & evaluation of the patient's plan of care from admission to discharge.

  • Utilize your clinical knowledge, critical thinking skills & the principles of case management & adult education to coordinate, implement & support the plan of care.

  • Ensure a seamless, effective, efficient transition of care across the continuum.

  • Monitoring quality metrics specific to the department & ensuring complete & accurate documentation in the patient record.

  • Perform the roles of mentor, clinician, educator, consultant/collaborator, and navigator.

Virtual RN Requirements:

  • Pennsylvania State Valid Nursing Licenses from an accredited professional School of Nursing.

  • Minimum of 8 years in healthcare/critical care as a Registered Nurse

  • Experience with Electronic Medical Records

  • Current or recent bedside RN experience

Virtual RN Preferred Requirements:

  • BSN highly desired.
