EBI Logistics Analyst in Danville, Virginia

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Logistics Analyst to join our team. The Logistics Analyst will be responsible for optimizing logistics operations, analyzing data, and implementing process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics and supply chain management, as well as excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities - Analyze logistics data to identify areas for improvement and cost savings - Develop and implement strategies to optimize transportation routes and reduce freight costs - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve supply chain efficiency - Monitor and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery - Conduct regular audits of inventory levels and accuracy - Evaluate the performance of third-party logistics providers (3PLs) and make recommendations for improvement - Utilize MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems to manage inventory levels - Coordinate with suppliers and carriers to resolve any issues or delays in the transportation process - Maintain accurate records of all logistics activities

Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field - Proven experience working in logistics or supply chain management - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets - Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools - Knowledge of mechanical operations and equipment such as forklifts and warehouse machinery - Familiarity with e-commerce logistics processes and systems - Understanding of freight forwarding, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), and international shipping regulations - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
