At Zober we manufacture test, assemble circuit boards and electro-mechanical assemblies. We have need for a variety of soldering skills including hand, surface mount, and wave. Many jobs use sophisticated equipment   and we are willing to train. Prior experience helpful.

  1. Responsibilities and Duties.
    • A solderer uses specialized equipment, such as a soldering iron, torch, or welding machine, to solder components together. Soldering is common in electronics manufacturing, where you make precise welds to connect wire to computer chips or other components. Since you solder together very small parts, the craft requires extreme precision. Solderers may also work with hand tools to make precision repairs or operate and calibrate soldering machinery used in large-scale assembly.
  2. Qualifications and Skills
  • High school diploma or a GED certificate preferred.
  • Zober may hire solderers who have minimal or no experience and train.
  • Postsecondary training, such as a certificate program from a vocational school or community college, can improve your job prospects.
  • Being able to assemble electronic equipment from blueprints or other technical schematics
  • Attention to detail, and follow detailed instructions.
  • Must be patient and detail oriented.
  • Willing to work in a team environment but most work done alone or in small groups.
  •  Ability to follow all workplace safety guidelines.
  • Solder (IPC Certification Preferred) Willing to train and certify
  • Mechanical Assembly with the ability to think outside of the box, and go the extra mile
  • Problem solving daily issues with little oversight
  • Must have meticulous attention to detail and be aware of discrepancy's
  • Must be willing to work with small parts, good eyesight and manual dexterity is required

  1. Working Conditions.

Fast paced, great variety of work with constant deadlines. Industrial environment with occasional dust, noise, etc. , with protective equipment needed occasionally.  Job may require lifting up to 50 Lbs.   Must have reliable transportation.  Be willing and able to work overtime up to 15%.  We seek individuals that are flexible team members not bounded by narrow job descriptions.
