Cuyuna Regional Medical Center * Environmental Services Crosby, MN Support Services Full Time, 8-hour Evening Shift FTE: 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period) Weekend Requirements: Every 3rd weekend Posted 04/09/2024 Req # 13072 This position is an internal posting for current CRMC employees to apply beginning at 8:00 am on 4/9 until 4:00 pm on 4/15 POSITION SUMMARY To provide a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for residents/patients, visitors, and employees of the Cuyuna Regional Medical Center. Perform duties efficiently with a commitment to quality and excellence. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Education and Experience: High School education preferred. Must have sufficient reading ability to read instructions and chemical product labels and fill out maintenance request. Minimum 3 years prior experience working in a healthcare facility in an environmental services or housekeeping position and/or experience using janitorial equipment required. Experience in interim and restorative level floor care to include stripping and waxing, grout cleaning, carpet extraction, carpet spotting, etc. desired. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions, interact with all members of the healthcare team, and respond appropriately to all requests. License/Certificates: N/A Special Skills and Aptitudes: Effective interpersonal relationship skills including good listening and communication skills. Ability to adapt resources to meet the needs of the situation. Ability to communicate effectively in variety of settings and with a variety of people at different organization levels. Ability to operate all equipment for this position. Exercises good judgment, flexibility, creativity, and insight to problem solving. Adjusts to stressful situations with confidence and good judgment. Ability to multi-task and manage multiple dissimilar projects. Uses supplies and equipment in a cost effective manner while ensuring safety and cleanliness. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Follows established procedures and policies of Longville Lakes Clinic and CRMC Environmental Service Department. Follows all safety rules and complies with all State and Federal requirements. Responsible to provide a clean, safe and sanitary environment through out the facility. Required to follow safe work practices and to utilize personal protective equipment appropriate for the tasks they are performing. Conduct any stripping/waxing and or any grout cleaning floor cares. Cleans upholstery as needed and complete any carpet spot extraction as needed. General maintenance of riding machines, hard floor scrubbers and stand up vacuum cleaner (i.e. squeegee changes, putting in PM for general maintenance with facilities staff. Make sure machines are in good working order, advising management when parts or supplies need to be ordered). All staff will be able to use these machines however, the responsibility of ongoing care will fall on EVS tech duties. This does not include emptying machine or cleaning off after use. Maintains open communication with other departments, in order to provide quality service for the patients/visitors, and co-workers. Respects patient confidentiality and understands there is no job related reason to access patient information. Demonstrate Standards of Excellence when other duties are assigned.
