Summary/Purpose for the role:

Works as part of the Business Information Services Public Records team in Costa Mesa, CA. Responsible for accuracy and maintenance of Secretary of State loads nationwide. These records are the initial business filings made through various states.

The individual:

  • Reviews daily report auto submission of corporate data

  • Reviews daily report for data files received

  • Reviews Last Receipt report to ensure ongoing data transmission

  • Verifies format and record count accuracy of uploaded files

  • Communicates directly with external public record source contributors to validate definitions and meanings of data fields provided and update new field values

  • Loads and monitors legal data, review output logs on server for any discrepancies, and initiates problem determination, when necessary

  • Works with internal Experian partners to ensure timely and complete data files from contributors

  • Troubleshoots issues

  • Periodically sets up processing for full file loads

  • Cross-train with others on Public Record team for backup capability

  • May occasionally review agreements to validate desired usage cases for the business unit



  • 3+ years of experience in data loading, monitoring, and problem resolution preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • SQL experience

  • Good working knowledge of database systems

  • Good knowledge of PC/Mainframe systems, JCL, programming, utilities and open systems preferred

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft office products

  • Strong technical and analytical skills

  • Good oral and written communication skills

  • Strong organizational and time management skills

  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, establishing priorities so that customer commitments are met and internal resources are used effectively

  • Basic leadership skills
