10592 - IVI Validation Specialist I

Purpose:

While validating implementation of requirements and change list for regular/irregular Navigation SW release (including DB) on both functionality and performance sides, oversee SW quality by constructing validation plans for detecting SW errors and evaluating full stack system SW. Establish validation plans and policies according to vehicle release and main event schedules and publish reports by integrating validation results according to issue management standards. Support local client events (audits/joined validation etc.), while tracking and managing raised issues.

 

Essential Functions:

SW Quality Control (20%)

  • Issue Management - Manage confirmation/registration/modification of issues collected through internal/external issue, VOC etc., while tracking issues in various ways including raising objections and pursuing validation for terminated issues until finalized and closed.

  • Report Publishment - Collect Test Case analysis results and remaining issues for each event to publish reports according to validation management standards, and report status to clients (HATCI/NAQC).

  • SW Monitoring - After finalization of SW, constantly monitor for potential issues, and determine significance of detected issues for either prompt implementation or negotiation for a case of R/C.

  • Validation Advancement - When either specification change or external investigation necessitates adjusting Test Case, perform aperiodic modification and apply to validation.

SW Verification & Validation (70%)

  • Analyze SW Specification/Change list (Requirements) and generate Test Case.

  • Perform validation based on Test Case and register issues.

  • Perform unit validation for each module (IS/RG/RP/TI/MD)

  • Perform validation on System incorporation/integration and performance

  • Perform integration validation through driving tests.

Client Management (10%)

  • Event Support - Provide field support for local events (audits/pre-audits/monitoring/joined-validation etc.). Deliver presentation on reports on internal validation. Provide prompt, accurate response to client's requests to minimize company issues, and when an issue occurs, report to HQ with utmost specifics in order to not delay the investigation.

Responsibilities:

Navigation Linkage Evaluation (North America – USA, Canada, Mexico)

  • Collaborate with HMG team to evaluate the linkage between vehicle systems and infotainment systems.

  • Ensure seamless communication of information between the vehicle and infotainment/navigation system.

  • Analyze electrical or computer signals related to navigation systems.

  • Identify any issues related to navigation system linkage and propose solutions.

Navigation Software Validation (Mexico)

  • Concentrate on HMG vehicles sold in the Mexican market.

  • Verify the navigation software for accuracy, performance, and compliance with standards and foundation spec..

  • Contribute to the improvement of navigation software quality.

     

Basic Requirements:

⦁     Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field.

⦁     Experience in analyzing electrical or computer signals.

⦁     Proficiency in English and Spanish (English proficiency is essential; Spanish proficiency is highly desirable).

 

Salary range - $60,340 to $86,273
