LACLEDE COUNTY DISTRICT R-1 SCHOOL Bus Driver in CONWAY, Missouri

Qualifications: Hold a minimum Class B CDL drivers license with Missouri School Bus Passenger License Endorsement. Required to complete and pass a background check as designated by the school district in accordance with Missouri State Law. Demonstrated success in performing tasks as outlined in the Reponsibility list below

Reports To: Director of Transportation

Job Goal: Periodically replace a regular driver and provide students with safe and dependable transportation.

Performance Responsibility:

  1. Conduct a daily pre-trip inspection.

  2. Know and understand emergency evacuation drills.

  3. Must hold a minimum Class B CDL drivers license with Missouri School Bus Passenger License

Endorsement.

  1. Operate the school bus in accordance with all traffic laws.

  2. Deals with emergencies in a quiet and efficient manner.

  3. Informs bus mechanic of any problems or repairs needed to the bus.

  4. Maintains discipline on buses and reports problems to the Director of Transportation and/or

appropriate principal.

  1. Immediately reports any accidents to the superintendent and Director of Transportation.

  2. Maintains cleanliness of bus.

  3. Ensures that all windows are in the up position before exiting the bus.

  4. At the end of each route, physically walks to the back of the bus to check for children and items that

might still be on the bus.

  1. Undergoes pre-employment drug screening and random drug testing throught the school year.

  2. Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or superintendent.

Terms of employment: On call

Evaluation: Annually by Director of Transportation.
