Summary

To return the plant and equipment to a sanitary condition, through the use of water, chemicals and scrub pads.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Disassemble equipment as necessary to properly clean.

  2. Use water, chemicals and scrub pads to clean equipment to a level acceptable to USDA and Perdue Q.A.

  3. Must be able to help wipe down condensation in your area after completing your cleaning process.

  4. Wear all necessary safety equipment such as steel-toed boots, bump cap, safety glasses/goggles, rain suits and ear plugs.

  5. Must be able to help assemble some equipment in certain areas for production start up

  6. Follow all reasonable requests by supervisor. Other Duties as assigned by supervisor, including working with other departments as needed.

Minimum Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Must be able to work in temperatures not to exceed 60 degrees. Wet environment - rain suits required. Must be able to work with corrosive chemicals. Cannot be allergic to corrosive or cleaning chemicals. Climbing, bending, twisting, squatting and keeling required to get between and around machinery/equipment. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Must be able to push or move equipment weighing 50 lbs or more
