Our construction products are divided into three main categories: Concrete Forming Hardware and Accessories; Rock and Concrete Anchor Bolts; and Post Tensioning Systems. Our mission statement is simple "Customers are our future... take care of them."Job Summary:Providing overall direction, guidance and supervision for the Tool Room at the Williams Form Engineering Comstock Park, MI facility. Leading a small crew on machine and general maintenance, scheduling, tooling, and building upkeep. Oversee purchasing and tooling inventory. Supervise and operate rental equipment department as needed.Primary Responsibilities:Working close with the plant manager daily, reviewing machinery status, uptime and downtime, while leading a crew of techs to reach their goals each day.Salary position. Workday primarily 7:00 am -- 3:30 pm.Maintenance -- oversee all repairs, upgrades, and other maintenance to company machines.In charge of a complete preventative maintenance program on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.Machines include CNC, thread-rolling, part tapping, automatic screw machines, lathes, band saws, presses and various other machines.Continuous improvements, including machine speeds and feeds, efficiencies, and minimizing scrap.Trouble shooting, multi-tasking, and working alongside subordinates.Oversee tooling and parts as needed in the shop. Work with reorder points and keeping necessary tooling on the shelves.Navigate, understand, and operate within the Epicor ERP system for order and inventory transactions.Maintain an accurate and honest inventory of tool room parts and pieces.Work as the lead in the rental department. Make sure equipment comes and goes in the condition and proper set-up as needed.Help as needed with the Safety program in the plant.Provide mentoring and guidance to subordinates and other employees.Assist the plant manager in all facets as needed or required.Must be a strong communicator and honest leader and be adaptable to change.Working Conditions and Requirements:Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment, including mechanical noise and fluctuating temperature, although most of the time is spent indoors. Work can involve frequent lifting (up to 70 pounds), and various bending, twisting, crouching, and standing for 80%+ of a workday. Safety equipment PPE would include safety glasses and steel toed shoes but could include hearing protection and hard hats or various other necessary PPE. Computer, office, and cell phone is provided. High School Diploma and additional related classes or schooling necessary. Construction, Programming, strong Mechanical skills. Mechanical Engineering background a plus. Must have minimum of 7 years of similar maintenance and similar skill experience or 4 years of maintenance supervision experience.
