Job Details: Job Description This position is responsible for assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by insuring the Supervisor's instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly. This position is also responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing all equipment and company assets while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. Tasks: To provide daily direction and priority to the maintenance crew. Performs duties such as shift reports, answer production calls for maintenance, direct maintenance techs to the priority work, direct daily meetings to cover safety, food safety and work schedule. Provide basic mechanical and electrical maintenance leadership. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical maintenance on all production equipment including grinders, formaxes, oven, freezers and all other manufacturing systems plant wide. Work on project type work that may include welding and fabrication. Be able to read manuals and blue prints. Work daily with the manufacturing personnel to help with startup and training of operators. Be able to troubleshoot from electrical prints. Review the machine guarding on a daily basis and make sure the equipment is being used properly. Must be willing and able to lift up to 100lbs. Must be willing and able to work in an environment with extreme temperatures ranging from 39F to 90F. Maintain a clean work area and help clean the maintenance shop on a rotation basis. Help train the new level one mechanics as needed. Team member has an individual responsibility to report all possible deficiencies or practices that could compromise food safety. Team member is to adhere to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) at all times. Requirements: Must currently hold the position of a Maintenance Generalist - require a level 5 or higher Must have 1-year maintenance experience and have been working in the plant w/in the last three months. Has developed skills outside of main area of responsibility (example: working on other lines, grind, forming, cook, fry, freeze, pack, etc.) Computer skills: able to plan, schedule and complete work in CMMS, use Outlook for e-mail, and Excel for inventory searches No suspensions within the past 12 months Must be willing to work overtime and weekends Relocation Assistance Eligible: No Work Shift: 3RD SHIFT (United States of America) Hourly Applicants ONLY -You must complete the task after submitting your application to provide additional information to be considered for employment.
