altafiber Fleet System Administrator in Cincinnati, Ohio

Position : Fleet System Administrator

Location : Cincinnati, OH

Job Purpose :

The Fleet System Administrator will ensure our Fleet Management Information System (FMIS) data is correct in order to run all the key processes in the system and to be able to develop forecasts and control reports in PowerBI. This person will also learn new FMIS functionality and be the process owner who deploys key functionalities to our drivers and client organizations through our Fleet Manager and Client Support Manager.

Essential Functions :

  • Maintain data accuracy in the FMIS -- vehicle make, model, VIN tied to license plate, registration and driver/supervisor data -- as changes in the fleet occur due to vehicle purchases, auctions or accidents and technician hiring, job changes or driver reassignments.

  • Maintain 1:1 relationships between our vehicles in our FMIS and telematics devices as we move toward maintaining driver data in our FMIS and linking that to vehicle and telematics device data.

  • Develop and Maintain our Fleet Replacement Forecast in PowerBI after extensive analysis and spreadsheet work to present a current state and 5-year replacement forecast view with metrics on improved age and replacement cost over time.

  • Learn and deploy new FMIS capabilities and run processes in the system: Preventive Maintenance, Carpool, etc.

  • Work with data analytics team to develop PowerBI reports to analyze and assess FMIS Fleet Invoice / Work Order data and identify cost anomalies and ensure efficient operations in both markets.

Education :

College Degree not required but preferred.

If College Degree, Business / Data Analytics degree preferred.

Relevant Work Experience :

2 to 4 years in related field

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :

  • Data manipulation and summation in Excel required. Be an Excel whiz: Pivot Tables, If Logic, Count If, Sum If, Sum Product, V-lookup, H-lookup, Conditional formatting, string comparisons, isolating text (left, mid, right, search), working with Filters to isolate data, Pivot Charts, data validation & formatting, working across multiple tabs or workbooks

  • Import / Export Tools

  • PowerBI reports

  • Ability to develop catalog of online Process Documentation

  • Ability to learn and operate efficiently in web applications, currently RTA FMIS, Penske Fleet Insights FMIS and Geotab.
