AutoZone, Inc. QA LEAD DEVELOPER – ALLDATA in Chihuahua, Mexico

SUMMARY

The QA Software Engineering Lead is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance process for software development projects. Running and leading the day-to-day operations of a QA team, contributing to the definition and implementation of the testing strategy for the ALLDATA Products. This includes working with cross-functional teams to define and implement quality standards, developing and executing test plans, identifying, and prioritizing defects, and ensuring that software products meet established quality criteria. Additionally, the QA Software Engineering Lead will be responsible for managing a team of QA engineers, providing technical guidance, and ensuring that team members are meeting their performance objectives. Other responsibilities include personnel management like annual objectives definition, performance evaluations, leadership, onboarding, training, and provisioning to direct reports the necessary tools and knowledge to work on QA projects or related tasks.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Level of formal education: A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent

  • Area of study: Computer Science

  • Years of experience: More than seven years

  • 4+ years of experience in software quality assurance

  • Experience in Java, able to understand and suggest code improvements, additional languages or scripting languages are a plus.

  • Experience in designing test deliverables and developing/executing test plans for software products.

  • Strong knowledge and experience with QA Automation for UI and API REST.

  • Able to understand and design a continuous integration pipeline.

  • Comfortable with any Agile software methodology

  • Collaborate with internal teams (Devs, BSA, DBAs and product owners) to identify product requirements. 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and able to work as part of a geographically diverse team.

  • Knowledge in Cloud concepts is a plus.

  • Experience in Load Testing is a plus.
