Oneida Technical Solutions Antenna & General Maintenance Worker in Chesapeake, Virginia

Oneida Technical Solutions, LLC (OTS) has a rich history of providing IT support and associated services in highly complex, highly regulated, highly secure environments, including the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD), law enforcement, health care, retail, and the casino gaming industry. OTS is a wholly owned subsidiary of Oneida Innovations Group and is the parent company of Croop-LaFrance (CLF), an experienced federal contracting firm.

We are currently hiring an Antenna/General Maintenance worker for a long-term contract in Chesapeake, VA.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • All Antenna/Antenna Pedestal Preservation and Minor Corrosion Control

  • Non-Technical Maintenance All interior/exterior Minor Maintenance (minor carpentry, plumbing, cosmetic repairs, etc.)

  • All Facilities Minor Maintenance: Submit, Maintain, Track and Report Status of Base PWC trouble tickets

  • Hazardous Material Administration and Disposal Coordination

    Secondary responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the Lead Telecommunication Operator III (non-technical)

  • Change Combinations

  • Escort Visitors as required

  • Assist the Lead Electronics Technician III (non-technical)

  • Assist in daily site checks (non-technical)

  • Perform weekly compound safety inspection (and minor repairs)

  • Perform weekly compound security inspection (and minor repairs)

  • Building Energy Monitor

  • Building Fire Marshall

  • Facility Safety Coordinator

  • Facility HAZMAT Coordinator

  • Facility Fuel Coordinator

  • Key Control

  • Maintain Company Vehicle Maintenance (Forklift, Vans, Trucks, etc)

  • Re-sectoring Antennas

  • Preventive Maintenance (non-technical)

  • Assist the Supply / Admin Specialist

  • Inventories

  • Deliveries

  • General Store Keeping

    Position Reqiurements:

  • Must possess a minimum of a Secret Clearance.

  • The candidate will be expected to perform all the above tasks and any other non-technical tasks supporting mission operational readiness as they arise.

  • The candidate must work outside in inclement weather during all seasons. The candidate will be required to work at heights above 30 feet in a harness. Candidate may be required to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a demanding physical environment including snow removal, and installation of temporary services and/or facilities. The candidate will be expected to appropriately interface with outside contractors and base personnel as a representative of the Facility, Company and the Government.

  • The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the Facility's systems including Emergency Diesel Generators, Electrical Switch Gear, Boilers, Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems, Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning systems, Small engines and motors, pneumatics and HEMP requirements.

    Salary - $27.40+$5.96/hr H&W.
