Position Title: Systems Engineer (Linux)

Location: Remote

Reports to: Senior Manager, Enterprise Applications

JOB SUMMARY:

The System Engineer will play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of our diverse Enterprise Applications. The individual will collaborate with our dynamic team to manage installation, configuration, and troubleshooting tasks. The role involves executing daily operational tasks based on set instructions and established guidelines.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Resolve application issues for multiple Enterprise Applications and clients, showcasing exceptional troubleshooting skills and log analysis.

  • Assist in the daily administration of applications, including setup, patching, configuration, and monitoring.

  • Contribute to the team's knowledge base and process improvement initiatives.

  • Engage in triage meetings to address escalated issues and needs.

  • Implement technical solutions aligned with the team's established processes.

  • Automate repetitive tasks using scripts.

  • Provide rotational on-call support during weekends.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Holds a Bachelor's degree.

  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a DevOps/System Engineer role or related field.

  • Experienced in Enterprise application management including monitoring, troubleshooting, user maintenance, migration, refresh, and patching.

  • Proficient in web server software such as Apache, Nginx/Haproxy, and IIS.

  • Knowledgeable in load balancing, SSL, DNS, and security protocols.

  • Strong command of operating systems, especially Linux and Windows Server environments, with a focus on command-line and system monitoring.

  • Skilled in scripting with proficiency in at least one language such as Python, Bash, Perl, GO, Power SHELL, or Ansible.

  • Capable of working effectively both independently and within a team setting.

  • Able to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

  • Eager to learn and expand knowledge across all supported technologies.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong emphasis on customer service.
