Production Engineer Associate – Chattanooga, TN

Job Summary

  • Our Engineering Associate has the opportunity to experience operations in our Chattanooga, TN facility, specifically our Southern Cellulose location plant.

  • The duration for this assignment is 8 weeks during Summer 2024, with the option to extend your tenure with ADM through the Fall/Spring. This position would be ideal for a college student looking to gain industry experience while working during Summer 2024 and part-time during the school year. The manager is willing to be flexible with hours/shifts to accommodate class schedules.

  • You will gain firsthand exposure to quality projects, operations, troubleshooting and dealing with the myriad of challenges in a facility that operates around the clock, 365 days per year.

  • This experience offers hands-on knowledge of the plant processes, products, and employees in the real world of manufacturing at ADM. Our program promotes the development of Project Engineer Associate while providing a training ground for potential future Project Engineer Associates.

Job Responsibilities

  • The initial project assignment will consist of training a software to identify defects in our production processes.

  • Additional project assignments can be identified if the candidate performs well and is available to stay on with ADM past the initial 8-week term.

  • Participate in a safe work environment.

Job Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in STEM Field

  • GPA of 2.8 or greater preferred.

  • Adequate transportation to and from work.

  • This experience is physically demanding and relates to those who desire hands-on experience in a production setting. Some tasks may require lifting, the ability to climb ladders, and working in confined spaces (including tanks and vessels).

ADM requires the successful completion of a background check.
