SAIC Acquisition Systems Engineer in CHANTILLY, Virginia

Description

SAIC’s National Security and Space (NSS) Sector is currently seeking an Acquisition System Engineer for a customer within the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) in Chantilly, VA. The Acquisitions System Engineer works with other government and contractor team members in a challenging work environment supporting the NRO acquisitions lifecycle and systems engineering & integration, while delivering mission excellence to programs of national importance.

The Acquisitions Systems Engineer will join a team of on-site SETAs working on satellite system development with responsibilities that may include but not limited to the following:

- Work in a collaborative team environment supporting space vehicle and ground enterprise development

- Analyze contract deliverables for compliance and maintain the documents repository

- Manage Confluence and Jira workspaces for an Integrated Program Office

- Aid Contracting Officer Technical Representative (COTR) on developer performance through managing program reviews, minutes, action items

-Travel will be required for this position (25%)

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree with 9 years of relevant operational experience; Master’s Degree with 7 years of relevant experience; or PhD or JD and 4 years or more experience

- Active Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph

- Possess the ability to communicate, coordinate, and engage customer independently

- Ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic, and small team environment

- Demonstrated ability to operate successfully as a team-member

- Ability to communicate with clarity and accuracy both verbally and written

- Demonstrate familiarity in the functional mission areas and key intelligence issues
