Job Overview

TE Connectivity’s Quality and Reliability Engineering Teams analyze the ability of product and production systems to comply with customer and contractual requirements through established reliability factors. They design, recommend revisions and install quality control systems, develop and document analytical methods for establishing reliability of products and their components and conduct analysis on relative reliability with regards to cost, structure, weight, maintainability, facility of production, and availability of materials and equipment. Out teams develop, implement and monitor company environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health and safety regulations and recommend corrective actions if necessary. They are responsible for policies and practices to comply with applicable government regulations and industry requirements related to product environmental compliance, the implementation and management of technical and testing standards and specifications, quality control and reliability programs governing materials, product and processes, resulting in the optimization of material and labor, as well as failure analysis, root cause, corrective action and customer communication.

What your background should look like:

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Vocational Certificate / Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic/Electrical/Mechanical/Mechatronic/Industrial or equivalent.

• Preferably with 3 years of working experience in the electronics manufacturing industry.

• Knowledge and experience in PPAP and measurement equipment such as Coordinated Measurement Machine, Smartscope, Profile Projector, Digital Tool Maker, Dial Indicator, Micrometer, and Caliper. Knowledge in GD&T (Geometrical Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and interpretation of product drawings.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY

• Perform First Article Inspection and prepare Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) Report.

• Program CMM and Smart-scope for product inspection.

• Perform Measurement for Evaluation and conduct Test and inspection to evaluate the product performance/reliability.

• Perform Calibration of Measurement Equipment.

• Conduct Measurement and Inspection Training to inspectors and manufacturing vendors.

• Mark-up Product Drawings and Prepare Quality Inspection Plan.

• Prepare Measurement Methods and prepare Gage Usage Guide.

• Prepare and update Quality Guide/Notice and checklist for manufacturing process.

• Assist in co-ordination, and implementation of all Quality Engineering changes in product to ensure that QIPs are accurate and executed effectively by inspection and other related departments.

• Update/manage Quality Documentation.

• Provide quality information and data to support the Engineers in decision making.

• Provide technical expertise, advice and suggestion on quality issue to the shop area as well as inspection department.

• Any other assignments delegated by Superiors.
