Responsibilities/ Accountabilities

  • Ensures that Packaging Operators under his/her lead render the highest productivity (Process Reliability).
  • Ensure that operations are completed in the most efficient manner and so that final products meet the standards of quality required.
  • Coordinate with Packaging Supervisor daily for production goals for his/her packaging line. Monitor and prepare daily group productivity indicators.
  • Maintains accurate and complete records.
  • Maintains a constant product flow in all stations of the line.
  • Monitors each operation to assure compliance with document instructions, SOP's, GMP's, OSHA, DEA and company policies.
  • Assigns personnel to the different duties within the department, delegates tasks accordingly.
  • Checks incoming and outgoing materials to ensure that they comply with GMP's, department schedules and special instructions.
  • Assumes department supervisor's position in his absence or when required.
  • Perform special duties and functions as required by department supervisor.
  • Ability to work Overtime as needed, including weekends.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education Qualifications

  • HS Diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • Preferred minimum three (3) years of direct work experience in pharmaceutical labeling. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in generic pharmaceutical manufacturing.

Skills/ Competencies

Technical Knowledge and Computer Systems Skills:

  • Strong understanding of pharmaceutical packaging machines.
  • Capable of conducting trouble-shootings.
  • Capable of handling and participating in compliance and regulatory audits at the local and federal levels.
  • Experience using SAP business system and application is a plus
  • Must have 1 year cGMP work experience.
  • Must be proficient in computer skills and software applications such as Microsoft Office tools.

Professional and Behavioral Competencies:

  • Must be willing to work in a pharmaceutical packaging setting.
  • Must be willing and able to work any assigned shift ranging from first or second shift. Work schedule may be Monday to Friday.
  • Must be willing to work OT and some weekends based on business needs as required by management.
  • No remote work available
  • No employment sponsorship or work visas.

Physical Requirements

  • Must be capable of lifting up to 30 pounds.
  • Often requires bending and twisting.
  • Standing for prolonged periods of time (up to 8hours).
  • Must be able to work in a noisy work environment (appropriate PPE will be issued).
