Description

Stanley Consultants, Inc. is seeking a Senior Fuel Systems Engineer in our Federal Market to work in any of our US office locations. In this position, you will coordinate and perform studies, assessments, planning, programming, and design of Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricant (POL) fuel infrastructure for military and civilian agency clients. The successful candidate must have a thorough understanding of design criteria and standards for aviation and ground fuel delivery systems and facilities. Key fuel systems will include fuel receipt, storage tanks, automatic tank gauging, secondary containment, filtration, additive injection, metering, hydrant distribution, truck fill stands, vehicle dispensing, and associated pumps, piping, and control systems. Key facilities will include (POL) administration and maintenance, fuels laboratories, pumphouses, fueling stations, refueling vehicle maintenance, and associated pavements, security, and lighting features. The person in this role will have technical design responsibilities and must coordinate work with the design team and review and manage their work to produce high quality project deliverables. The individual is expected to perform design duties with minimal supervision and have ability to effectively communicate within a team environment. Specific Duties: Inventory, condition assessment, and deficiency identification of POL assets Capacity analysis Fuel system master planning Capital investment planning and project programming Preparation of plans, specifications, and cost estimates for construction Construction services including submittal review and construction inspection Required Education, Credentials, and Experience: The following items are required: Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University 8-15 years of relevant experience Professional Engineering registration Experience in design of military aviation and ground fuel systems Experience in pipe flow and stress modeling Experience with DoD Unified Facilities Criteria including UFC 3-460-01 and 3-460-03 Experience with DoD Unified Facilities Guide Specifications Experience with AutoDesk CADD, Revit BIM, and/or Bentley BIM Additional Education, Credentials, and Experience: The following items are desirable, but not required: Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited College or University API 570 Piping Inspector Certification API 653 Above Ground Storage Tank Inspector Certification STI Tank Inspector Certification NACE Cathodic Protection Certification AWS Certified Welding Inspector Experience in design of natural gas, liquid propane systems Salary Range: Base Compensation: $94,000-$125,000
