Sierra Nevada Corporation Hangar Compliance Specialist in Centennial, Colorado

In this role you will be conducting daily aircraft maintenance hangar compliance inspections. You will help ensure established written policies and procedures are being followed, identify, track, and report discrepancies. Additionally you will make recommendations for improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand local operating procedures, policies, requirements, and guidelines.

  • Accomplish daily hangar compliance inspections and observations.

  • Verify compliance of tool control and calibration, foreign object debris/damage (FOD) prevention, hazardous material use and storage, parts tagging, storage, and protection, ground support equipment pre-use inspections, etc.

  • Review and report findings and infractions to managers using Microsoft Excel products

  • Recommend process changes to improve compliance and efficiency

Must-haves:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field of study and typically 3 or more years of relevant experience

  • A higher level degree may substitute for experience

  • Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education

  • Basic understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFAR) and Cost Accounting Standards (CAS)

  • Analytical skills

  • Experience using audit procedures and techniques

  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal

  • Basic knowledge of common aircraft maintenance concepts and best practices

  • Experience with inspecting and evaluating production teams compliance with processes and procedures.

  • Basic skills with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Preferred:

  • Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification

  • Familiarity with DCMA INST 8210

  • Familiarity with AS9100

Estimated Starting Salary Range: $68,926.06 - $94,773.33. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates’ key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
