Adecco US, Inc. Maintenance Supervisor in Cedar Rapids, Iowa

The Maintenance Supervisor provides direction and coordinates the process of equipment maintenance, while working in a heavy manufacturing union environment.

Primary Duties:

  • Directs preventative maintenance program with proper scheduling and requirements to maintain equipment and facilities.

  • Ensures equipment condition at end of work order is proper and in safe-working order.

  • Responsible for compliance with all quality efforts in maintenance through proper use of work instructions, processes and procedures.

  • Supervise workflow; including schedules, ordering of parts, paperwork, housekeeping and waste reduction.

  • Responsible for establishing and maintaining sound employee relations.

  • Drive data integrity throughout all involved processes, procedures and equipment.

  • Coordinate efforts between maintenance and production to minimize delays and downtime on machines.

  • Assist in troubleshooting hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical systems/components.

  • Maintain departmental records.

  • Expected to follow all safety rules and policies and work in a manner that protects themselves and other stakeholders from hazards and injuries.

  • Ensure all work procedures and practices are in accordance with established safety policies.

  • Ensure safety of employees and equipment that employees work with and on at all times.

Requirements:

  • Associate degree in Mechanical/Electrical Technology or related field; 5 years' industrial experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Knowledge of production methods, processes and industrial machines/equipment.

  • Metal fabrication industry and/or supervisory experience.

  • Union Supervisory experience strongly preferred.

  • Leadership skills to communicate effectively within all levels of operation.

  • Additional experience with PLC's, drives, gauges, rolling mill controls, data acquisition HMI's, annealing line controls and instrumentation will be a plus.

Schedule:

  • 12-hour rotating day shift position, including weekends. 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Working 3 days one week, and 4 days the next).

Pay Details: $80,000.00 to $85,000.00 per year
