The objective of this position is to serve as a team member responsible for conducting lubricant testing as well as assist with completing testing in the Tribology and Rheology Labs. This position works closely with specialists and project leaders to ensure that tests are developed and executed in a timely manner and in alignment with the needs of the business. This position contributes to laboratory leadership from an advanced testing perspective to include developing and conducting associated testing, maintaining a safe/clean laboratory environment, and inter-facing with team members to maintain equipment. Responsibilities :

  • Perform tests to evaluate lubricants in accordance with the needs of R&D.
  • Provide support for Tribology and Rheology Labs.
  • Assume responsibility for critical lab equipment calibrations and preventative maintenance.
  • Develop ideas for continuous improvement of laboratory productivity.
  • Complete 5S audits (as assigned), maintain a clean and orderly laboratory; ensure proper machine maintenance and operation and safe storage of chemicals and fluids.

Qualifications:

  • A High School graduate with at least 10 years of relevant experience, Associate degree with 5 years of relevant experience or a Bachelor's degree with 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with common materials and their uses.
  • Familiarity with industrial standards.
  • Experience with operating and maintaining machinery.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and team skills.
