BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE (LPN) POSITION: The primary purpose of the Licensed Practice Nurse - to provide direct patient care, provide patient and family teaching, and work cooperatively within the interdisciplinary health care team in maintaining standards of nursing care under the direction of the registered nurse and within the framework of the Ohio Nurse Practice Act.
