If you are a skilled professional with a strong background in CNC machining, blueprint reading, and setup operations, we want to hear from you.

 

Position Overview:

As a CNC Machinist at Holtec International, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality machined components for the Nuclear Industry. You will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines, interpreting blueprints, adjusting tooling, making offsets, and using precision measurement tools to ensure the accuracy of the final products. Your expertise will contribute to the success of our operations and the satisfaction of our clients.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC machines Mulitaxis VTL Vertical Turning Lathe & Multiaxis HBM Horizontal Boring Mill (PAMA, Carnaghi, Hankook / Fanuc controls) in accordance with production specifications.

  • Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to ensure the accurate machining of components.

  • Upload programs and make necessary adjustments to machine parameters.

  • Select and install appropriate tooling and make tooling offsets as needed.

  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines.

  • Use metrology tools Vernier calipers, Dial calipers, Digital calipers, Micrometer, Bore micrometer, Depth micrometer to measure and inspect parts to meet precise specifications.

  • Monitor and maintain quality control throughout the machining process.

  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace.

    Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of CNC machining experience.

  • Proficiency in setting up and operating CNC machines.

  • Strong blueprint reading skills.

  • Ability to read and understand CNC programs (G & M codes) (Fanuc control is plus).

  • Knowledge of tool selection, tooling setup, and making tool offsets.

  • Proficiency in using metrology tools (CMM experience is a plus)

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot machine issues.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.

  • Willingness to work with a safety-first mindset.
