Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. Manufacturing Planning Planner in Burns Harbor, Indiana

Cleveland-Cliffs has an immediate opportunity for a Planner to schedule the Casters and Hot Mill at our Burns Harbor facility located in Burns Harbor, IN.

This individual will plan and develop Burns Harbor Caster and Hot Mill schedules, collaborating with Operations and other teams. Responsibilities for the position include the following:

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Schedule the casters and hot mill units at our Burns Harbor operation.

  • Resolve scheduling issues with operations management.

  • Participate in and support delivery initiatives and improvements.

  • Resolve production scheduling issues with operations management

  • Analyze and complete various reports that pertain to slab application and scheduling duties

  • Work with commercial to ensure schedules meet customer requirements.

  • Position will be on call after normal business hours, holidays, and weekends to support scheduling changes as needed by operations or planning.

  • Participate in training activities as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to demonstrate analytical skills, troubleshooting and strategic thinking.

  • Possess strong attention to detail.

  • Be reasonably proficient in Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Production scheduling experience or experience in activities that have supported the scheduling activity.

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management or Operations
