Your New Role:

Warner Bros. Studio Operations seeks a 1st Cook for the Food Services department.

Your Role Accountabilities:

Duties include preparing, cooking, and serving food for the Food Services department. These meals are prepared and served at the Commissary, other parts of the lot and Special Events. 1st Cooks lead stations in the Commissary.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must have 5 years cooking experience in a high-volume banquet facility, hotel/conference center, or fine dining restaurant, with a demonstrated ability to prep a grill, sauté, cook, and prepare sauces in a fast-paced environment.

  • A valid ServSAFE Food Handling Certificate is required. This demonstrates a commitment to the cleanliness of the kitchen areas, and commitment to food and physical safety.

  • Must have a valid California Driver’s License and a record of safe driving with at least 6 months of driving history.

  • Must have good verbal communication skills.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include frequently working beyond the standard shift of approximately 8 hours per day, working some weekends and holidays are required. Standard shift is approximately 8 hours per day, plus a 30-minute paid meal break, with a minimum of 6 hours worked.

  • Physical exertion requiring standing for long periods, walking, bending, lifting, carrying, cleaning kitchen equipment, and maneuvering heavy weights up to 50+ lbs.

In compliance with local & state law, we are disclosing the compensation, or a range thereof, for roles that will be performed in Burbank, CA. Actual salaries will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is just one component of Warner Bros. Discovery’s total compensation package for employees. Pay Rate: $24.01 per hour. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and paid time off (PTO).
