Summary: Works with the faculty and researchers within the department to increase the number of high-quality submissions resulting in an increase in external funding for the organization; coordinates application preparation, including editing, proofreading, formatting and revising applications; locates appropriate funding opportunities for Roswell Park investigators; maintains database for application opportunities and applications submitted; provides training and technical assistance to investigators and support staff as needed; manages post-award tasks for funded projects including effort allocation, budget management, subaward/subcontract/consultant agreement processing and tracking, process invoices and reimbursements, ordering supplies, progress reports.

Salary range for this position is $57,247 - $72,203 annually which includes a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications:Required Education and Experience

1. Bachelor's degree and the equivalent of two (2) years of full-time experience in grant preparation and editing; or
2. Associate's degree and the equivalent of four (4) years of full-time experience in grant preparation and editing.

NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

The preferred candidate will have 5+ years' experience with grant and contract application development (working with faculty and researchers to identify necessary documents to build applications, reaching out to internal and external collaborators to collect documents, working with PI and grant manager to finalize budget materials, tracking status of all components to ensure application timeline is adhered to, proofread/format/edit proposal for compliance with RFP). They will also have experience building applications in ASSIST/Proposal Central and other databases, prior experience with post award management (effort allocation, budget management, subaward/subcontract/consultant agreement processing and tracking, processing invoices and reimbursements, preparing progress reports), and experience preparing biosketches and other support documents as well as updating publication records.
