Description

Cazenovia Recovery is a great place to work! We offer many benefits and extras to our staff members. This position is responsible for clinical shift coverage and ensuring the safety of residents. This position also entails some clinical responsibilities, where permitted through certification or license scope of practice, and other essential services.

Responsibilities

  • Conducts safety checks on the facility

  • Responds to crises and emergencies

  • Assists with referrals and coordination of services with fellow providers

  • Conducts breathalyzer and toxicology screenings

  • Responds to immediate social or housekeeping issues

  • Assists with and observes resident medication compliance

  • Makes referrals, coordinates services and maintains regular ongoing consultations with other providers, managed care providers, legal agencies, etc. to assist counseling staff.

  • Maintains all clinical documentation, reporting, record keeping, treatment planning, screening, assessment, and discharge planning (as supported by certification or license scope of practice).

  • Provides group and individual treatment interventions (as supported by certification or license scope of practice).

Requirements

  • Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • At least six hours of standardized introductory training in addiction and ethics for addiction professionals

  • At least six months of experience in human services

  • Enhanced Qualifications:

  • Active participation in a college degree program in a Human Services related field with at least 3 months’ experience (may include internship experience)

  • Must be a current CASAC Trainee or a QHP to provide clinical services

  • Ability to ensure confidentiality

  • Must possess a valid New York State driver's license

Salary Description

$18.00/Hour
