Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm (variable) - (to assist OT in increasing patient volume)

Summary:

Implements all Occupational Therapy services for residents of the Therapy Department under the supervision of the OTR, or Director of Rehab. These services include but are not limited to: screening, structured assessment, treatment, documentation, program development, orthotic fabrication, provision of in-services and attendance at meetings

Responsibilities:

EDUCATION

  • Certification by the American Occupational Therapy Association

EXPERIENCE

  • Experience in a Long Term Care Facility

  • Previous OT experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY

  • Must be able to read, write and speak the English language

  • Communication skills which may be inclusive of approach, tone of voice, speed of communication, respectfulness and non verbal communication

WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Long periods of standing, walking, lifting if necessary
