New Era Cap Co., Inc. Asst. Manager, Vendor Compliance in Buffalo, New York

This position will help manage the Vendor Compliance program and daily vendor relations responsibilities by partnering with necessary departments; logistics, credit, key account groups, and legal. A successful incumbent in this role will ultimately help to build stronger customer relationships through vendor compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage vendor compliance projects as well as daily vendor relations responsibilities
  • Manage the on-boarding process for new customers in coordination with the Vendor Compliance Sr. Manager, Legal Counsel, Logistics Manager, Credit Manager, and any other department needed
  • Manage the customer chargeback process, which includes:
    • Managing the chargeback portal
    • Managing the open ticket spreadsheet
    • Owning the Bi-Weekly chargeback meeting
    • Creating custom chargeback reports
    • Researching each ticket
    • Working with the necessary departments on approvals and/or disputes
    • Collaborating with appropriate department Managers to expedite corrective actions and/or negotiate specific chargeback violations with customers, when applicable.
    • Identifying opportunities to improve New Era's compliance to customer requirements through analysis of the chargeback data.
  • Manage and maintain a centralized digital folder including all current Vendor Compliance guides, all current signed Vendor Agreement/Waiver documents, and a recap report documenting customer on-boarding and maintenance
  • Own the project status portal for onboarding of customers and existing account compliance updates
  • Manage daily customer communication regarding updates to their business
  • Manage the ship to location process by collaborating with sales leadership and the finance team
  • Keeps all sensitive matters confidential
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong computer skills; Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint and the ability to learn and utilize new systems
  • Zendesk experience
  • Wrike (Project management software) experience
  • Ability to establish relationships and interact with various levels within the organization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and efficiently prioritize workday to maximize productivity
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
  • Enthusiastic, pro-active, and positive person who adapts to change and with urgency and persistence
  • The ability to be innovative and creative when handling difficult business challenges
  • Ability to work independently with limited structure as well as possess a high level of resourcefulness

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or related field required (Business Management, Logistics, or Supply Chain)
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in a related, professional setting
  • SAP experience a plus
  • Previous experience reading and reviewing contracts/Terms and Conditions/Vendor Guides a plus

The salary range for this posted position is $60,000- $66,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
