Minimum Qualifications Must have possession of a license and current registration to practice medicine in New York State; certification in psychiatry by the ABPN; and two years of post-board certification experience as a member of the psychiatric staff in a psychiatric hospital and/or in the psychiatry department of a general hospital, one year of which must have included clinical supervision of other psychiatrists, psychiatric residents, or fellows.Transfer Opportunity - Currently permanent in this title and eligible for lateral transfer.NOTE: To be eligible for appointment and to maintain employment, you cannot be listed as an excluded individual or entity on any of the Federal and/or State Medicaid and Medicare exclusion lists (or excluded from any other Federal or Federally assisted program). Duties Description As a Psychiatrist 3 (Chief of Psychiatry), you will work directly with the Clinical Director to provide oversight and direction of psychiatric services for both inpatient and community services at a New State of the Art Psychiatric Center that serves as an environmental of healing for people living with mental health conditions. You will be responsible for ensuring that culturally relevant treatment programs are planned, organized, and conducted per the patient’s needs. You will provide clinical and administrative oversight to medical staff: including psychiatrists, physicians, psychiatric nurse practitioners, and pharmacists. Oversee the quality of treatment services provided by the medical staff. Perform case reviews and provide treatment to patients.
