FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Speech and Hearing Center at Lehman College of the City University of New York (CUNY) is seeking a Part-time Clinical Educator to mentor graduate student clinicians enrolled in several of our Clinical and Diagnostic Practica as noted for the Fall 2024 Semester. Our Language and Literacy Clinic typically supports school-age clients with reading and written language. Our Adult Neurogenic Clinic supports individuals who have aphasia resulting from a stroke, traumatic brain injury, and Parkinson’s disorder. Our Across the Lifespan clinic supports individuals from birth to adulthood with a variety of disorders or delays including autism spectrum disorders, fluency disorders, and feeding disorders. Our Across the Lifespan diagnostic practica provides diagnostic evaluations to individuals across the lifespan from birth through adulthood.

The Program in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences at Lehman College currently offers a B.A. degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology, and an M.A. degree in Speech-Language Pathology. The M.A. program is accredited by The Council of Academic Accreditation in Audiology an Speech-Language Pathology and the American Speech-Language Hearing Association. QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants should have a broad range of clinical experiences in speech language intervention and assessment as well as meaningful and extensive supervisory experience. All candidates must have completed the ASHA Professional Development Hours (PDH) requirements in supervision, ethics, and diversity.

Candidates must possess strong clinical writing skills as well as excellent interpersonal, professional and inter-professional skills. Experience in clinician development, mentorship, team building, and team maintenance preferred.

Master’s degree, Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), New York State Licensure, and two years of clinical experience required. Previous experience as a clinical supervisor/educator in a university setting or supervisory experience is preferred in addition to the required PDH hours in supervision, ethics, and diversity, equity, and inclusion.

COMPENSATION

$91.67 per hour.
