We are looking for:

  • The focus of this assignment is to support the development of new technologies from the analytical chemistry perspective. He/She/They will be involved in the characterization of new technologies (polymers, surfactants and monomers), development and validation of new analytical methodologies in the area of spectroscopy, with strong focus in NMR.

  • Syensqo is a global company driven by proud and committed chemists. With our historical anchorage in Europe. Syensqo NovaCare has an excellent portfolio of surfactants and polymers used in the Agro, Coatings, Industrial Home and Personal Care markets.

We count on you for:

  • He/She/They have a good understanding of different analytical techniques, e.g. IR, UV, and Chromatography. He/She/They will be responsible for planning, designing technical approaches, setting milestones, driving projects to completion and communicating results.

  • The candidate is obligated to learn safety procedures in Syensqo environment, to develop good safety habits and to document well every step of their work.

You will bring:

  • Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry or related field

  • 3 to 5 years minimum experience in Analytical Research Laboratory

  • Expertise in 1D NMR (1H, 13C, 31P…) and 2D NMR (HSQC, HMBC, DOSY …) sequences and ability to use combinations of those depending on the project needs.

  • Proficient in the use of a variety of laboratory instrumentations (IR, GC, HPLC)

  • Develop methodologies and aid with interpretation

  • Writes reports and notes detailing developments

  • Support key projects and technologies as a team member or analytical correspondent

  • Maintains good laboratory safety and housekeeping standards; ordering of basic supplies and equipment

  • Good PC and computer skills and use of appropriate software

  • Ability to plan time and activities, highlight issues with priorities and resources

  • Occasional lifting up to 20 lbs. and exposure to noisy environments may be required.

You will get:

  • Competitive salary and benefits package

  • The U.S. base salary range reasonably expected to be paid for this position is $90,880 to $113,600 per year. Since actual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate we may ultimately pay more or less than the posted base salary range. Total compensation for this role also includes bonus and/or other incentives.
