The Role 

The Key Account Manager for the Nordics, Belgium & Netherlands region will play a pivotal role in driving the growth of Grass Valley’s business in the media & broadcast market. This individual will be responsible for fostering strong customer relationships, developing & executing strategic sales plans, and effectively managing partner relationships within the region. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales and marketing strategy tailored to the media & broadcast industry within the Nordics, Belgium & Netherlands regions, with a focus on sustainable sales growth. 

  • Actively represent Grass Valley in building and maintaining senior relationships within the media & broadcast industry across the Nordics, Belgium & Netherlands region. 

  • Lead the development and execution of key account plans, ensuring effective collaboration and engagement with account teams to drive growth. 

  • Work with Director of channel partnerships EMEA to progress our regional channel partner strategy to maximize indirect sales opportunities in alignment with Grass Valley’s Partner Program framework. 

  • Provide regular management reporting on sales performance, market conditions, and competitor activity. 

  • Assist in transitioning customers to new agile working methods through the use of software-based SaaS solutions.  

  • As a senior team member, help foster a culture of excellence within the regional team, ensuring alignment with company objectives, and supporting development opportunities. 

  • Contribute to the overall agenda and initiatives of the NEUR and EMEA Sales Teams. 

The ideal candidate would have prior experience in sales or commercial development within a broadcast/media-focused B2B environment. The role requires excellent customer service, organizational, and negotiating skills along with the ability to work independently and as a team player. The ideal candidate will be confident, energetic, have an attention to detail and have a passion for developing relationships. Experience and understanding of broadcast workflows, either through design or operation, is essential. Additionally, familiarity with Software as a Service (SaaS) models and their application in the media and broadcast industry is highly desirable. 

What you’ll need to be successful 

  • Degree education or equivalent. 

  • Proven experience in sales or commercial development within a broadcast/media-focused B2B environment. 

  • Demonstrated ability to interface effectively with multiple tiers of customer organisations, including C-level executives such as COO, CTO, and CFO functions. 

  • Experience of working in the broadcast or media industry, with a thorough understanding of broadcast workflows, either through design or operation. 

  • Familiarity with Software as a Service (SaaS) models and their application in the media and broadcast industry is highly desirable. 

  • An understanding of international business and multinational organisations would be advantageous. 

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentational communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and effectively. 

  • Confident, energetic and outgoing with the ability to network both in person and remotely. 

  • Availability for overseas travel as required. 

  • Ability to work under pressure and achieve tight deadlines while maintaining a high level of professionalism. 

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets/quotas.
