Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assists and supports the Housekeeping Manager with departmental operations
  • Assists towards establishing high standards of hospitality and service within the Housekeeping team
  • Ensures efficient and continuous communication between departments
  • Attends regular training and departmental meetings as requested
  • Helps to resolves guest issues quickly, efficiently, and courteously
  • Ensures that all resort standards and procedures are applied
  • Maintains working relationships and communicates professionally with all departments and vendors
  • Verifies that accurate room status information is maintained and properly communicated
  • Reports work orders to Maintenance and Front Desk teams
  • Ability to focus on priority and VIP guests
  • Ensures that cleanliness, quality, and safety standards are in line with company policies and expectations
  • Observes housekeeping team members at work to determine efficiency of time spent in guest rooms and progress of work assigned
  • Complete various additional tasks and assignments as needed

Requirements:

  • Experience as a Housekeeping Inspector is a plus.
  • An eye for detail is a must!
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with co-workers.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operation and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence using computers and smartphones.
  • Ability to be flexible and quickly adapt to change.
  • Must have a professional appearance with good personal hygiene.
  • Must promote and support a team work environment by cooperating and proactively helping co-workers.
  • Must maintain dependable work attendance and flexibility with assigned work schedules including any required overtime, evenings, weekends and holidays.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be self-motivated and disciplined.
  • Must be able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis.
  • Must maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information.
  • Must be able to be productive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Must be able to utilize effective communication, problem solving, conflict management and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to comprehend instructions and retain information.
  • Able to be flexible to handle frequent changes in priorities.
  • Able to stand continuously for an extended time while moving - lift, bend, stoop, push and pull repeatedly
