Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Traffic Engineering support.

  • Lead preparation of Traffic Impact Analyses and Studies, Traffic Operation and Safety Plans, Capacity Analysis, Safety Analysis, and Traffic Modeling.

  • Perform traffic engineering and project management tasks to deliver a wide variety of traffic studies, traffic engineering, and safety studies.

  • Collaborate with design teams for integration of traffic engineering considerations.

  • Mentor staff within the Engineering team.

  • Project management tasks including tracking schedule, budget preparations, and client coordination.

  • Provide high-quality deliverables with exceptional client service.

  • Consult with clients on all traffic engineering projects and manage assignments.

  • Conduct safety and traffic operations studies including signal warrant analysis, signal timing/retiming, turn lane queue analysis, intersection analysis, roundabout analysis, and preparing supporting technical reports.

  • Project traffic forecasting, travel demand, DRI reviews, and planning support.

Requirements:

  • · Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with focus in Transportation

  • 6 years of relevant experience in Traffic design and engineering

  • Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Florida

  • Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) license is a plus

  • Valid United States driver's license

  • Proficient in preparing traffic impact studies including modeling & simulations in HCS, Synchro, and FSUTMS model/programs.

  • Experience using AutoCAD and Civil 3D

  • Strong writing and communication skills
