  • Maintaining a clean and organized environment throughout the day. Assisting with cleaning equipment and mats/tables in a timely manner for quick turnover for patient use. Monitoring and maintaining daily stock of designated patient care supplies according to established par levels and retrieving and delivering items as requested.

  • Performing inventory for departmental needs, submits ordering sheets to supervisor for approval, and places orders through online system. Putting orders away in appropriate and designated places when they arrive.

  • Ensuring all equipment is in working order and performs weekly and monthly maintenance for equipment. Communicating with staff regarding equipment or patient care supplies issues.

  • Assisting Physical/Occupational Therapists and Assistants in patient care tasks determined as routine or assisting as a safeguard to patient care and under direct supervision and instruction by the therapist or therapist assistant. Performing other related duties to provide patients with comfort, diversion or safety.

  • Setting up treatment area with necessary equipment under instruction by therapist, or therapist assistant.

  • Scheduling patients for appointments and procedures, coordinating appointments, procedures, or referrals with other departments or institutions as necessary. Recording appointments on scheduling systems, adjusting schedules as needed. Providing patients, parents, visitors, and staff with standardized information as appropriate.

  • Collecting and organizing medical records, information, materials and supplies required for appointments or procedures. Preparing standard forms as requested by clinician or supervisor. Providing general office support as required.

  • Answering, screening and routing telephone calls, and greeting and directing visitors. Composing routine correspondence. Initiating calls for emergency services as required. Collecting, verifying, recording and processing patient demographics. Collecting records and secures co-payments made by patient/families. Checking charges in billing system to ensure information is correct.

  • Maintaining safety of work area. Identifying and reporting equipment in need of maintenance or repair.

  • Monitoring and informing clinical staff of unusual activity or behavior.

In order to qualify you must have:

  • High School diploma/GED

  • Previous experience in a clinical healthcare setting ideal

4 days in Waltham/ 1 day in Lexington per week, after orientation period. Free parking in both locations!

Waltham M-Th 7:30 – 5pm

Lexington F 8:30 – 5 pm

Some early opening shifts and later closing shifts per week
