Summary

This position will perform critical services related to shipping/receiving and parking administration at Simplot Headquarters. To include the receiving, sorting, tracking, delivery of 30,000+ mail/parcel units annually; utilizing package tracking software; and having a solid understanding of the Company to ensure accuracy. This position also is the key interface with parking management vendors and administers parking assignments to HQ employees. Parking services include maximizing the usage of approximately 1,000 parking spaces across 4 Boise parking facilities, resolving issues as they arise, and managing vendors. This position works in a fast paced, constantly changing environment, and must be able to react/respond quickly. The ability to multitask, manage multiple priorities, use various planning and organizational tools in a demanding, customer driven environment is critical.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shipping & Receiving: receive/sort/deliver all incoming mail & parcels; utilize tracking software to log all mail/parcel activity; train security personnel for coverage; partner with service providers/tenants/drivers to coordinate deliveries, develop/refine procedures for shipping & receiving; maintain dock area; execute large shipments; partner with departments on shipping needs (service awards, marketing, etc.); and provide training and support with UPS Campus Ship.

  • Parking Administration: Manage relationship between Simplot and Parking Management vendor; manage HQ and all Boise parking facilities leased by Simplot; maintain all HQ employee parking assignments/access/records; troubleshoot and timely respond/resolve any parking issues/concerns; complete regular audits for accuracy; maximize usage of 1,000 parking spaces across 4 parking facilities; develop/maintain procedures as needed; and order supplies/replacement parts as needed.

  • Inventory Management: Maintain/track/order inventory for all paper/toner supplies throughout HQ facility and adjust orders in accordance with building occupancy and usage. Maintain/track/order all shipping supplies in HQ facility (boxes, bubble wrap, tape, etc.). Restock mail/copy centers as needed; partner with IT to maintain printer model records per floor as equipment is updated; and maintain printer location/model data in OfficeSpace.

  • Lease & Vendor Management: manage vendor relationships for all dock services (courier, postage meter, dock, compactor, etc.). Maintain lease records and associated equipment, partner with vendors to coordinate any repairs, and pay invoices (postage meter, compactor, fleet vehicle, Notifii, E-Certify).

  • Team Support: Take ownership and execute other Facilities related work orders as a member of the Facilities department, manage small projects, support events as needed, and support tasks on other properties.

Typical Education

High school diploma or general education degree (GED)

5+ years related experience and/or training

Ability to apply advanced skills in procedures, processes, and techniques appropriate for the position within the assigned functional area. Proficiency with Excel, Postage meters, shipping software such Fed Ex, UPS is a must. Valid driver’s license. Ability to lift up to 70 pounds. Some maintenance skills required.
