Glaz-Tech Industries Industrial Maintenance Technician in Boise, Idaho

Glaz-Tech is looking to fill our Maintenance Technician position at our Boise, ID location. We are looking for a responsible, adaptable and self–driven individual looking to grow in the manufacturing industry.

Location: 1200 W Amity Rd., Boise, ID 83705

Flexible Schedule (preferred) Pay: $22.00 per hour (DOE with 90 Day Evaluation & Pay Rate Change) Job Type: Full-time The job functions include:

  • Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions.

  • Troubleshooting skillset that includes: ability to locate source of problem through observation of mechanical devices in operation; listening for indicators through sound, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.

  • Proven ability to understand, troubleshoot and adjust Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Servo drives.

  • Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools.

  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting parts; using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments. Ability to examine part for form and texture defects.

  • Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, power tools levels, and other measuring devices.

  • Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitoring compliance.

  • Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.

  • Maintain programs, such as Maintenance PM program to track preventive maintenance, work order management and parts.

  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt.

  • Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.

  • Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.

  • Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing technical publications; establishing personal networks.

  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.

  • Responsible for grounds keeping and building repair.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to read and interpret Electrical and Mechanical Drawings.

  • Previous experience in obtaining quotes is highly desired. Will also be responsible for grounds keeping and building repair.

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Authorized to work in the US

Preferred:

Manufacturing background in the glass industry with minimum of 3 years of experience and be proficient in Microsoft office.
