Job Description

One of our partners located in Boca Raton, FL is a Hedge Fund specializing in fixed income and equity products. Currently, they are looking for a Sr. Accountant, reporting into the Controller, to support various Accounting aspects of the Firm. This is a permanent opportunity with a competitive salary, bonus structure, and profit-sharing opportunity. Below, I've listed some of the responsibilities.

Assist the Controller with maintaining the books and records of the investment advisory business and an affiliated broker dealer including posting journal entries and performing reconciliations.

Maintain books and records of our clients wholly owned offshore subsidiaries in the UK and Switzerland.

Provide assistance related to the annual audit requests and assist with the preparation of the annual financial statements and related footnotes.

Assist with preparation of quarterly tax estimates.

Assist with preparation of the monthly Focus reports and other regulatory filings.

Serve as a back up to the Controller as it relates to day-to-day operations and regulatory filings.

Assist with process improvement initiatives including data automation, standardization and implementation of best practices.

Skills and Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting

  • Minimum 5 years of solid accounting experience (preferably in the broker dealer or

investment advisory environment).

  • Public accounting experience is strongly preferred

  • Advanced Excel skills to include VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables

  • Understanding of partnership accounting

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work effectively in a dynamic

environment

  • CPA certification is preferred null
